BANG&CLEAN®
Cleaning with dosed gas explosions
|
 |
|
A lance with forced cooling is introduced into the boiler near
the clogged area. At the end of the lance a balloon is inflated with an
explosive gas mixture. The gas mixture is ignited via remote control ignition.
The explosion results in shock waves which cause the boiler-walls and -tubes to vibrate.
The shock waves plus the vibrations will make the build ups / ashes come off the boiler
surface.

SAFETY

- Equipment is CE conform
- Safety measures and -procedures have strict rules for highest safety
- No risk for damaging of boiler tubes (even if explosion bags touches the tubes or walls!)
- No transportation, storage or use of explosives
- Gas mixture prepared just before explosion takes place
- Even if system should fail, process runs into safe conditions. System equipped with safety
interlocking (fail safe)
- Optimal personal protection (Hard hat, goggles, dust mask, ear protection, safety shoes,
face protection shield, fire proof working cloth)
|
|
APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS:

- Openings (in boiler / vessel)
to reach the areas to be cleaned
- Free space
for lance introduction a minimum space in front of each opening is required
- Infrastructure on site
pressurized air (4 to 8 bar), water (4 to 8 bar), power 240V (115V)
|
|
EXPERIENCE / RECOMMENDATIONS

- Cleaning intervals:
between 4 weeks and 6 month
Basically determined by boiler design, waste composition and operating conditions.
- Remark:
Boiler ashes in combination with humidity (from ambient air or steam)
tend to form hard deposits.
To avoiding these formations we do recommend to clean the boiler in hot conditions:
during operation or during the shut-down of the plant.
